The first floor of the Jackson County Historic Courthouse contains the County Welcome Center and County Historic Archives. While we are not a 'museum' we invite anyone interested in beautiful architecture, antique furniture pieces and a friendly atmosphere to stroll through. When available, staff members are always happy to chat about the history of the Historic Courthouse. We also have display cases that contain a variety of fascinating exhibits. The second floor is the courtroom, fully restored and finished with vintage prestige and modern amenities.

Our second floor Courtroom is a beautiful setting that can accommodate any event from an intimate celebration to a large conference. Original wood floors and reproduced (but comfy!) courtroom seating makes this a stunning backdrop for your celebration. Capacity: tabled up to 72 guests, audience seating 200 (plus balcony), standing 120+. Media capabilities via a 25’ movie screen with HDMI connection, full audio, and internet. Our catering kitchen is equipped with warming unit, industrial refrigerator, microwave, Instant Pot, and popcorn trolley.

Historic Courthouse corridors on 1st floor

The first floor corridors and Educational Center can be transformed for your small group gathering! The original 1879 marble floors and tall ceilings make this a beautiful space for your event. Education Center Capacity: standing 35 people, tabled up to 20 people, audience seated 25 people. Media capabilities via a 75" flat screen TV and computer with PowerPoint and internet.

Corridors can accommodate seated audience of 35 guests, tabled 32 guests, standing 50 guests.
