Historic Archives

The Jackson County Historical Society in conjunction with the Jackson County Restoration Committee completed a 14-year document recovery project in late 2021. 

 

The vault contains 635 boxes of documents filled with over 25000 folders encompassing information about Jackson County and its citizens from the late 1700s to the early 1970s.

We are located inside the beautifully restored Jackson County Historic Courthouse at 85 Washington Street Jefferson, GA 30549.
