The Jackson County Historic Courthouse Restoration Committee is always looking for volunteers to assist with the many tasks that are associated with the restoration process. If you would be interested in offering your time and talents to the Committee, please contact them at historic.committee@jacksoncountygov.com.

Areas where volunteers are needed include:
  • Research - Reviewing historic documents, old newspapers, etc. to discover facts that will be of interest to the Community and Visitors
  • Events - Assisting with the behind the scenes tasks that are necessary to put together a fund raising event to support the Committee's goal
  • Mailings - Affixing labels and stuffing envelopes
  • Fund Raising - Solicitations by phone, personal visits, grant writing, assisting with presentations to civic and business organizations, organizing a list of places to go and contacts
