Storm Water Management
Jackson County's Storm Water Management Program was created in 2015 to comply with Phase II of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, part of the Federal Clean Water Act, that requires local governmental agencies to obtain a permit and monitor the storm water runoff in their jurisdictions.

The Tax Commissioner's Office in Jefferson is the only location in Jackson County for handling motor vehicle transactions and the billing and collecting of mobile home, timber and property taxes for the County.
