Our online portal that electronically accepts applications for building permits, business licenses, rezoning applications, plats, land disturbance permits, etc. will be down from
June 2nd at 4pm until June 7th at 8am.
NO applications will be able to be accepted or processed.
and
NO building inspections can be completed or scheduled.
Applications that are being submitted for the June 5th filing deadline (rezoning, map amendments, special uses, variances, change of conditions) will be allowed to be submitted up until June 9th.

The Mission of the Public Development Department is to provide an orderly process to guide growth and development in conformance with the policies, regulations and procedures adopted by the Board of Commissioners for the betterment of Jackson County.
The Public Development Director oversees the following divisions:
- Building Inspections
- Code Compliance
- Planning and Zoning
- Soil and Erosion / Environmental Compliance
- Storm Water Management
To submit an application for anything related to building permitting, development, planning, or zoning, please visit Jackson County's Citizen Self Service portal. Please remember that your username is not your email address. Also, CSS has shown to function better in Google Chrome. Lastly, the applicant/owner is responsible for submitting to outside agencies.
