Emergency Management / Office of Homeland Security

The Jackson County EMA / OHS coordinates the efforts of the county in the areas of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from disasters and major emergencies in the county.

Emergency Notifications

Jackson County used the CivicReady mass notification system to help keep the community safe and informed.

Fire Training Center

The Jackson County Fire Training Center located on Fowler Drive, Jefferson, Georgia is a facility used by local volunteer fireman for training.

Jackson County Rescue

The Jackson County Volunteer Rescue Squads are comprised of volunteers who, without any kind of compensation, 24/7, responded with EMS crews and other public safety units to emergency scenes.
