The Jackson County Board of Elections and Voter Registration is seeking motivated people, who can endure long hours (6 a.m. to approximately 9:30 p.m.), to work as Poll Officials for the upcoming election. All workers are required to attend a 2-hour training class required for all Poll Workers prior to each election.
To be a Poll Official, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Resident of Jackson County
- 16 years of age or older
- a Registered Voter (if 18 years or older)
- Able to write and speak the English Language
- Have no prior felony convictions for at least 10 years
- Have basic computer skills
