Directions

Jackson County Correctional Institution is located approximately 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, GA, outside Jefferson, GA.

From Atlanta

1. From Atlanta take interstate I-85 north to exit 137, which is state road 129.
2. Take a right on state road 129 toward Jefferson/Damon Gause bypass.
3. 1st exit on left is business 129. Take this road going toward Jefferson.
4. Go to 2nd red light in Jefferson, turn left onto state road 15/82.
5. After approximately 1.5 miles, the road will fork. Take a left on state road 82.
6. Go 2 miles, turn right on 3rd paved road. This will be County Farm Road.
7. Turn left on 1st paved road. This will be I.W. Davis Road.
8. The institution will be on the left across from the Lamar Murphy Recreational Fields. Follow signs to parking area of the institution.

From Downtown Jefferson

1. Follow Highway 82 west, keeping left at the fork (Highway 15 forks to the right) to County Farm Road.
2. Turn right onto County Farm Road. Drive approximately 1 mile to I.W. Davis Road
3. Turn left onto I.W. Davis Road and follow it approximately 1/8 mile to the Correctional Institute.
