Our online portal that electronically accepts applications for building permits, business licenses, rezoning applications, plats, land disturbance permits, etc. will be down from 

June 2nd at 4pm until June 7th at 8am.  

NO applications will be able to be accepted or processed.

and 

NO building inspections can be completed or scheduled.  

Applications that are being submitted for the June 5th filing deadline (rezoning, map amendments, special uses, variances, change of conditions) will be allowed to be submitted up until June 9th.

The Mission of Building Inspections (a division of the Public Development Department) is to provide for the administration and enforcement of construction codes and ordinances adopted by the County and municipalities (when applicable). As such, the division functions shall be construed as securing the beneficial interest of the community which are public safety, health and general welfare through the structural strength, stability, sanitation, adequate light and ventilation, and safety of life and property from fire and other hazards incident to the construction, alteration, repair, removal, demolition, use and occupancy of buildings, structures or premises.

You may submit a building permit application or schedule a building inspection through Jackson County's Citizen Self Service portal.  Please remember that your username is not your email address. Also, CSS has shown to function better in Google Chrome. Lastly, the applicant/owner is responsible for submitting to outside agencies.
